Personalized Onboarding and Orientation

We thoughtfully structure each individual’s admission and onboarding based on the circumstances under which treatment is being sought. For example, if an individual seeks to join the Anew Treatment Center following participation in a comprehensive assessment and evaluation, we will coordinate with the evaluating program to streamline admission directly into our orientation schedule followed by housing placement. Alternatively, if an individual has not yet undergone any diagnostic or behavioral evaluation, we will assist in that process in order to help determine the most fitting program and residential needs.

Entering treatment and a new community can be stressful, particularly if an individual and family have been in crisis, are dealing with the recent onset or relapse in a psychiatric condition, and/or have recently been in a hospital or acute care facility. We are highly sensitive to the distress, fears, and concerns that often accompany this time, and therefore are strongly committed to supporting your entrance into the Anew treatment programs to be smooth, encouraging, and hopeful.

All clients joining the Anew Community will spend their first five (5) days in orientation at our clinical residential home. During this time of settling in, the client and family will attend a variety of meetings designed to gather information needed to establish the initial treatment plan and determine the most suitable level of care.

Each client and their family will have a personalized schedule created for the five-day orientation experience that includes:

  • Welcome and introductions
  • Tour of the residence
  • Family meeting with clinical director
  • Review of mental health and treatment history
  • Behavioral health assessment
  • Medical and physical wellness exam by nursing staff
  • Initial psychiatric assessment
  • Safety and suicide risk evaluation
  • Addiction/co-occurring assessment
  • Academic and vocational review
  • Individual psychotherapy sessions
  • Participation in skill-based and community level groups
  • Participation in house meetings and meal planning process
  • Initial Treatment plan development and care-level recommendations
  • Orientation review with Care Team
